I watched that hearing live, on the advice of assorted trusted people at Discord servers run by the NavyCon and Edge of Midnight teams. That was...interesting, to put it mildly. If it reins in unwarranted spending, that's a benefit of one kind. If we finally get confirmation of extraterrestrial sapient lifeforms visiting our planet, that's a benefit of another kind.
