a few more notes

I've been short on sleep all week. It's just been so hot and humid in my bedroom. One day this week, even when I woke up at 5am, my little window air conditioner unit was still on, trying to keep my bedroom cool. A cold front passed through last night, and today when I woke up at 8am (3 hours later than usual) during my "weekend", it's a blissful autumn 14C/58F air temperature outside in Minneapolis.

Unfortunately, because I started so late, the micro-route bus is all booked. I've tried for 20 minutes to get a ride to the grocery store, but I keep seeing the same message that "We're currently experiencing very high demand and all our seats are currently filled!". My weekend morning errand will run late today.

I weighed myself this morning, and I'm down to 87kg/192lb. The slow decrease continues. Stress shouldn't normally be a weight loss regimen, but I'll take it.

In the recent heat, I've avoided all outdoor tasks like gardening and house maintenance. I really should use this opportunity to get those chores done. I know I'm probably going to just be a bum, though, and rest some more. I already feel like I need a nap, but I just woke up.

Quite a "life in the warzone" moment here.

On the sofa in my enclosed porch. "We don't have any house to go to." Okay, but, um... "Do you want to join us?" No. No, I do not.

At least it's people making love, not war, so...
