"Anemone" is literally named after the daughter of the wind in Greek mythology (cognate with Latin anima "breath" as in animal/animate). The seeds aren't quite as extreme as dandelions and thistles, but they do have feathery tufts to help them spread by wind, so they can show up as unexpected garden visitors.
