If it helps you feel any better, you're not alone in getting their property taxes jacked up suddenly by HCMC this year. They did it to me too (I've forgotten how much but it was a surprise.) Nearly everyone I know who lives in HC has mentioned it. The funniest theory I've heard is they gotta pay for all the security for the George Floyd trials.
