"Did you know that in a world so full of wonders, they have actually invented boredom? Quite astonishing."
- Death, regarding humans and their creativity, in the movie "Hogfather"
I am bored. Bored, bored, bored.
I organized my seeds by germination time, so later I can plant indoors the seeds that need the longest time to sprout. Still bored.
I caught up on mindless Facebook games. Still bored.
I went walking for an hour and a half. Still bored.
I shaved the cat. Still bored.
I took a shower. Still bored.
I think I'm going out to join a beer bust at the local Eagle, even though there's usually nothing interesting that happens there either. I still have an hour to kill until it starts.
Bored.

Driving into downtown Minneapolis to the Eagle, though, I think I found the source of the problem. We've been without wind in this area for a few days. Smog is settling rather heavy over the metro. Sucking in all these fumes could easily be to blame for my lack of enthusiasm this weekend.

I am in a state of terror, afraid of winding up on the street in a week or two.

Moving is always stressful, even if everything's all lined up perfectly. Otherwise, I'm sure I'd be trying to move somewhere with a longer growing season. Gardening improves my mood a lot.

seems like a human society ought to be able to do a virtual adoption of a real pet online where the could buy the "virtual" pet stuff and take care of it
