the thermometer says

37.7C (99.9F)

And it's still rising. I can already tell that the weekend is wasted. *sigh*

Happy Healing, Rest & Recovery. At minimum the outside temp is more comfortable and the daylight grows longer. I wasn't at all sad for that blast of freezin' January to be gone. And ROFL litch's comment.

Hope you feel better soon!

Is it the flu? It sounds like the flu. You really should get a flu shot every year. Ibuprofen is really good for fever. One 200mg tab every 8 hours or so should help you feel better.

A neti pot or (more easily use a tea cup) with a warm solution of sea salt (no additives) and warm water will both moisten and help clean out and dry/heal goopy sinuses; i'm prone to them myself. If snorting salt water isn't your thing, one can always purchase saline solution in squeezable plastic bottles like Ocean Spray brand or generic. (Better than and non addicting, unlike Dristan and some other nasal remedies.) The very best stuff I ever came across was a homeopathic remedy imported from Germany called Euphorbium Compositum, sold to me by my Chiropractor & a doctor of Chinese Medicine. That stuff not only remedied a sinus infection in record time but kept me from needing a conventional western med antibiotic for an infection that had gotten really entrenched. Remember too the green tea with *real* honey and *real* lemon juice both are soothing, cut thru the gunk, provide a shot of vitamin C, etc.

P.S. I like your icon. It looks like Linus from the Peanuts is writing you a Get Well card.
