distraction

I really like the idea of intentional communities, but I secretly suspect that the experience there would be a little too intense for my comfort. I'd probably be better off as the loony guy roaming the forest and eating the weeds.  Still, Dancing Rabbit sounds like a nice place. Too bad the longhair guy would be a complete distraction.

*sigh*  I wonder what it is that makes that one feature such an attention-getter for me?  Strange.

Most of the hippies who "dropped out" in the 60s and lived in communes ended up becoming the yuppies of the 80s. I wonder what horrible fate awaits this group!

I would rather say their VERY spoiled-rotten sons and dughters...!

EXACTLY! That is the point. I have seen it happen because many of the hippies' descent happened to be my students at the university. The majority of them beheaved as if the whole cosmos owed them everything ...and they were the ones pursuing a career in the Natural Sciences, I fortunately don't teach at the Administration, Political Sciences and Economy careers! Oh well...!
