Really neat concept.  From 2007, I think.  I'm guessing they never actually produced one?

Perfect for the kitchen of a small, one-person mini-house.  All my dishes could be stored/cleaned in the little cabinet.  Supposedly the plants would produce the detergent used during the wash cycle (displayed on the timer).  What plant species?  What chemical do they produce?

I thought thy were growing their own veggies at first. Mmmmh, I know this plant from southeastern Mexico Rain Forest, Phytolacca decandra, whose abundant little black fruits produce this magenta, claaning, aromatic foamy substance when dissolved in water that people use as a natural soap, btw. :o)
