out of shape

You could almost set your watch by it. If I start gardening at the top of the hour, it's almost exactly the top of the next hour when I start getting dizzy and decide to call it quits for the day.

Every winter is more sedentary than the summers in Minnesota, but this last winter was mild, so I don't really have a good excuse for how much faster I lost stamina this year than usual. I'll keep it at. I've never cared to be buff, but I do like to be moderately fit. Right now, I'm not that.

What are your main forms of movement during the winter? It can definitely be a challenging season.

During the pandemic year, when I was absurdly overbooked with online work, I made myself sit on my stationary bike for at least 20 minutes every day. I was kind of amazed by how quickly I got used to it as part of my daily routine! I just wonder if something of that sort is helpful to hear about, especially given how dangerous it can be to just try and go for a walk outside where you live.

An hour is still a lot of work.
