Another dream. It's only been 4 months since the last one, so this seems a little "soon" to have another. I'm having a harder time interpreting this one, though. There is no smooth transition between scenes. They jump directly from one instance one to another.
Scene 1: I'm in a house. Apparently I live there. Something is happening that brings lots of people indoors, like an indoor garage sale. I look through windows and see the outline of a large spacecraft in the sky. It's only in outline form, and nobody else can see it. I keep pointing at it, but people ignore me. A few minutes later, another one follows the same path as the first. I point again, and I'm again ignored.
This craft changes path. It swoops around and approaches my house. I understand that somehow they saw me seeing them, which wasn't supposed to happen. It's come around to investigate me. It angles downwards to point directly at me. A protruding arm from the front of the craft moves through the wall (apparently invisible because it's insubstantial). I swing my arm to swat at it.
Scene 2: I'm in a crowd of other inmates (juvenile or "slow", not the usual adult criminal types). We're in line to get on a bus. We're visiting another facility. The authorities are trying to acclimate us to the site we will eventually join. I have white pants on. A few other guys are wearing white too. Most have grey pants. The bus trip isn't long, but somehow I drop my personal belongings on the floor and have trouble picking them up. I'm late getting off the bus to visit the new facility.
The dream fast-forwards to the end of the trip. As we're preparing to leave, I get "promoted" to grey pants like everyone else. Good behavior? I dunno. We're getting ready to leave, but I'm trying to switch pants and I think I've dropped my belongings again. I'm in a rush to get back on the bus. I notice that the two men who sat next to me are missing. A few men are missing. Relatives who met us at the site are distraught that the men are missing since they didn't get to visit them, but the authorities seem unconcerned.
I intervene and take back some sort of card (credit card, membership card?) that one guy stole from a missing man. The missing people have a pile of their personal belongings on the ground, like I did. I return the card to the authorities. I know who it belongs to, because I recognize the name "Trillian [somebody]" on it. That wasn't his name, but it belonged to him anyway.
Scene 3: I'm in a city. With everyone else, I'm watching some big event that's happening (sports event seems unlikely, but something similar to that). Somehow, I'm watching it from my vehicle just like everyone else is doing. We're all parked beside the roads in town.
I see "lightning" arcing down a hillside, with no obvious cause. A dark shadow follows the same path afterwards. I have the fear that it's an invasion from the aliens back in scene 1. I'm in a hurry to leave. I start up my vehicle and try to merge onto the road traffic.
There's construction in the street and intersection ahead of me. Crews are using cranes to lift large structures and move them around for assembling a new tower. I'm starting to panic because of the impending invasion. I'm in a hurry to get home. Somehow, I know to plug the drains to prevent gas from coming up from them as the lightning/shadow takes over the city.
Interpretation: I'm mostly at a loss on this one. The lightning/shadow seems like a fair metaphor for the nerve tics and damage, and perhaps a caution that they're encroaching upon the normal metabolism of my body (city construction) and causing some secondary problem (the "poison" in the city pipes). That's as far as I can take the interpretation though. Too many disjointed pieces for me to see a whole yet.
