theme song: like a dream

Today's theme song comes from a recent musical (sort of) titled, "Were the World Mine" (YouTube trailer and extended version). The trick of the movie is that it's a re-imagining of Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" in which the movie characters are themselves putting on the stage play in their school. Yes, it's the same tired old play-within-a-play that's been done many times before.

I was entranced, though, after one particular moment just 10 minutes or so into the movie where the main character is auditioning. He opens his mouth to sing Puck's dialog from the play... and music escapes...We faeries
that do run
from the presence
of the sun,
we follow
darkness
like a dream.
