Thanks to the taxpayers of Minnesota (via our Minnesota Care health program), I'm finally beginning my journey to diagnosis. Yay!
I've got a referral to see a neurologist! That's really good news for me. I spent a longer-than-usual doctor's consultation this morning with the nearby Dr. Roman Zownirowycz. He agreed that a neurologist was an appropriate next step. Before I see the specialist, though, Dr. Z arranged for some preliminary tests. I already had 2 vials of blood drawn this morning for general metabolism tests (including calcium). I'll soon be going in for an MRI brain scan. With those two results in hand, I can then visit the neurologist.
