I want to help, but I don't know how. Most of what I learn about the Wall Street occupancy just frustrates me. The lack of mainstream coverage is... quite surprising to me, actually. I'm only finding news via blogosphere. Really? Will the revolution not be televised, after all?  Here is a live video feed of activity:
http://www.livestream.com/globalrevolution

There are several videos being rampantly proliferated on YouTube. The most disturbing to me so far is the clip of the peaceful women just standing there apparently wondering what's going on as they're surrounded, then they get pepper sprayed by Deputy Inspector Anthony V. Bologna. Wow. I see nothing provoked from this camera angle. Other viewers reach the same conclusion.

Also quite noteworthy are the Wall Street inhabitants watching on from balconies while sipping champagne. Yes, that's right, champagne. Aren't the hoi polloi cute when they get angry?

Still images are also starting to appear. Protest signs. People thrown to the ground by police. Many of them worthy of attention.

Have we finally reached the "critical mass" of sympathetic thinking? The idea seems to be everywhere. [livejournal.com profile] litch reports on Google+ that his organic chemistry professor during the introductory class session yesterday talked about the syllabus and other common first-day issues. When he reached the topic of cheating, the professor had this to say: "I think you all know the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behavior. If you're not sure, I invite you to investigate a future in the college of business."

Are there any peaceful (!) protests forming in Minneapolis / Saint Paul? I'd be happy to take a day off of work to go join.

<yoda voice>Scatterbrained, I am. Yeessss.</yoda voice>

I just realized that I missed the Jane Goodall event that I wanted to see. It started 2.5 hours ago. I prepaid my ticket too.

It never turns out well when I try to follow too many ideas in too short a time. Life is much too complicated.

*disappointed sigh*
