SARS-CoV-2 details
2020-Apr-11, Saturday 01:24 pmI noticed similarities at the time, but I'm seriously starting to wonder if I had COVID-19 in addition to Influenza-A back at the start of February. (And I'm still occasionally coughing, although mostly just a few times in the morning.) I did test positive for Influenza-A. That infection is not in doubt. But the high fever, dry cough, gastrointestinal weirdness, and the liver problems all add up to a suspiciously COVID-19 appearance.
I just logged in to the health network website, and they have a notice on my front page that I have one year to get a requested "CREATININE EGFR" test that the doctor wanted. I am supposed to confirm that my liver function returns to normal after the infection is gone.
My blood and urine tests that were out of the normal range according to the online results:
Although this new coronavirus infects mainly the deep lungs, it seems also to affect the heart, liver, and kidneys. Glancing through the articles I just linked, my blood test results look rather like the abnormal scenarios they describe.
I wish COVID-19 tests were readily available, both then and now. I'll wait until antibody tests are commonly available, then I'll go in for that Creatinine test and ask for an antibody test too. It would be a very nice "bonus" if I already have immunity!
