uneventful laundromat

I hauled my laundry to the car and drove to the local laundromat today, not knowing if they were open or not.

They had a hand-written cardboard sign on the front door describing limited hours and group sizes.  This was my first visit on a Thursday morning.  For years, I have gone on Monday mornings once a month, but my work schedule changed recently, so now I plan to go on Thursdays instead.

I think this outing might be my first visit since February?  I know that I washed clothes in the bathtub back in April, anyway, and I've used fewer fresh clothes during the stay-at-home adventure.  I haven't needed to wash clothes as often.

The laundromat also has a new shield hung from the ceiling to help protect workers at the main desk from germs.

I did my laundry as usual, but I brought my litterbox wipes with me.  I wiped my hands with a fresh cloth every time I touched quarters from the machine.  Who knows how many people (with what health) have touched those quarters before me.  I wore a cloth mask the whole time.

There were only a few people there, similar to Mondays, and very unlike weekends.  I think a Thursday schedule will work okay here.
