when do the protests resume?
2020-May-31, Sunday 12:33 pmI was up until about 3am reading the news about the military crackdown across the country. It was hard to sleep after the highway closures and the emergency alert to cell phones in the area.

I saw the reports of the injustice of the militarized forces deployed here in my city.
One of my bosses at work was text messaging two of us this morning to use our emergency alert system to contact Minneapolis employees to say they should ask for any help they need now. I slept through it. One of the incoming alerts (from the person who was awake and responded) finally woke me up.
I couldn't watch the governor's address this morning. I started to, but it was a bit nauseating. The journalists continued to ask about why normality wasn't restored sooner instead of asking what is being done to address the cause of this major event. Normality is what got us here. Where were the police earlier? THIS IS WHERE THE POLICE WERE EARLIER!
So I drove around instead. Everything is still boarded up and closed. In addition to the auto parts store, this Olympic Cafe was also burned down. There was a mass distribution of bags or boxes on tables in the mini mall parking lot across the street. I'm guessing it was free food.

I hope that the random destruction has ended, but the original problem still remains. As Chris Evans (who plays superhero Captain America in movies) said in a tweet:

So when do the protests resume?

I saw the reports of the injustice of the militarized forces deployed here in my city.
- Telling a journalist, "You are part of the problem, if not the entire problem." (Sound like anyone you know?)
- Ejecting news journalists.
- Firing non-lethal rounds at news journalists.
- Firing at another journalist, breaking his car window and injuring him.
- Arresting news journalists.
- Even arresting a CNN journalist.
- Blinding a news journalist! She was wearing goggles, but the police shot them.
- Firing non-lethal rounds at people on their own porch, yelling "Light 'em up!"
"They couldn't even stop doing police brutality at the police brutality protest."
