How many times do I have to say that it's wrong to bring "the anointed candidate" (who literally promised that "nothing will fundamentally change") to an electorate hungry for a populist? Somehow, Trump found new voters. They're mostly white, sure, but he even gained among Black and Latino men.
In my view (which is definitely not a Democrat one), there's not a lot in this vote that provides much hope. Sure, we continue to make progress in legalizing marijuana. But otherwise, people seem heavily invested in not recognizing reality.
I do not comprehend the idea of looking around and thinking that our systems are in good shape... or better than 4 years ago.
