goodbye 2020
2020-Dec-31, Thursday 12:54 pmI was correct. I tend to write retrospectives mostly in the bad years: 2013, 2009, and 2007. This year was bad for a lot of people, but I was spared the worst of it myself. Still, though... it's time now to review, because it was exactly one year ago today that the World Health Organization "was informed of cases of pneumonia of unknown etiology (unknown cause) detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province of China."
I've written many times over the years about economics, racism (and the other hatreds), climate change, and politics. There's no need for more words now. I've already said what I can about the need for change. Instead, let's just look at the pictures of 2020. It was all predictable... or at least unsurprising. The trends were already in place.
( Lots of thumbnail photos... )
There was a suicide bombing in Nashville just one week ago, and we've already forgotten it. Goodbye, 2020.
