some gardening
2021-Apr-11, Sunday 02:43 pm
Thursday ended with my bicep hurting a lot. Friday didn't really exist. I was fading in and out of sleep all day in front of the television, rewinding up to 90 minutes of Steven Universe episodes that I slept through, then repeating that process all day long. Saturday felt normal if uninspiring. Sunday is finally back to normal.
Some daylillies have taken over much of my front yard, so I'm working to eradicate them this year (again). They started sprouting, so I took the opportunity to remove them and their root nodules from much of the front yard. There's still one small patch remaining, but I'll get to it later.
My front yard doesn't look like much right now (especially with the rust bucket parked in front), but up close I can see the first signs of growth.
- raspberries are putting on leaves
- strawberries are putting on leaves
- asparagus is beginning to peek above the ground
I wish I could unilaterially change city/county/state policy and try something new to actually fix (rather than relocate people away from my awareness) some of these systemic societal problems. Meanwhile, I guess I'll just hope for a less stressful neighbor this time.
