a quick update

In case you didn't know, there are wildfires in Minnesota too.  I took this snapshot from a US government website devoted to fire response.  Yesterday, here at my house in Minneapolis, I got the first real rainfall that I think I've had all year long.  The forecast is more of it tomorrow.  That's some good news, at least.

I'm still not over this infection, though.  I left work (remote, at home) about 1.5 hours early today.  I went to sleep and woke up a few hours later.  I woke up still with a sinus headache, sore jaw, and ear ache.

I haven't had solid food in 2 days, just drinking my Soylent smoothies instead.  Talking aggravates my head a little bit, drinking bothers it a little more, but chewing just plain hurts.  So I don't do that.  The soonest I could get a Dr. appointment was Friday morning, so I'm scheduled for that.  I'm still pretty sure it's just a plain ol' bacterial infection that started in my ear and then spread.  Meanwhile, the testing lab website says they haven't yet received my Walgreen's nasal swab sample, so no news on that front.
