still warm in Minneapolis

The highest temperatures I saw yesterday here in Minneapolis were 32C/89F air (33C/92F heat index).  That means it would get significantly hotter in my upstairs bedroom of this tiny barn-shaped house, if not for air conditioning.  I've kept the a/c unit in the bedroom window for longer than usual this year, I think.  I heard it kicking in frequently last night too.  The 10-day forecast still seems higher than usual, so I'm not removing it just yet.

I was awake more than I wanted last night.  Distant gunfire and loud nearby yelling were intrusive.  I wished for whiskey in the house to help me get to sleep.  I may still go buy some.  At least I'm down to only a single non-zombifying antihistamine.
