The article I originally referenced has disappeared, but the internet archive remembers it. It looks like they were specifically talking about ground-based mining when talking about peak uranium. If we're extracting fuels from seawater, though, then deuterium and tritium seem like better long term options... once we finally cross the ignition barrier at industrial scale, anyway. I'm still cheering for perovskite solar cell production as a "green" (non-toxic) production method, but it's still great news that renewable energy generation has dropped to such a low price point. :)
