another week
2023-Jun-03, Saturday 07:00 amSorry, I'm still not reading much here or on Mastodon.
Monday was a USA holiday, but I finished my 3rd week at the new job. I met my boss's boss, and they were curious about my intentions and interests because they like to view this position as a "starting point" for advancement to other jobs within the university. That's new and interesting. Maybe I could eventually find side projects that are focused on automation, helping other groups. But for the next year, for my own mental benefit, I just need to focus on becoming good and at-ease with this job.
My stress level continues to lower. My daily life skills continue to improve. (The cat appreciates a clean litterbox.) I'm back to playing computer games nearly at my former level. I look forward to the day when my stomach no longer notices my waking non-work hours. Work itself is too focused/intense to feel that jitter, but it returns when I'm not focused on the issue-at-hand at work.
The horseradish in the front yard is blooming, plus a few other things.
