hell week begins

We've been in the "blackout" season for a few days already, where vacation requests would not be approved. Saturday (my "Monday") is usually the slowest day of the week. Granted, sometimes it seems too slow, even for a newbie like me. Today, though, I could barely keep up. I took only a 30-minute lunch because it was so busy, then I took another 30 minute break later in the day. When I logged out after my shift, we already had twice as many tickets as a usual Saturday, and 2nd shift is just getting started.

Sunday will be worse.

Monday will be even worse.

Monday morning 6am Central is my first "on-call" shift, where somebody will call me if things are horribly backed up already and I need to work extra time.

Luckily, I have booze in the house again, having prepared for the arrival of this trying time.
