planting in November

I ordered some bulbs and a few ferns at the end of September. They didn't arrive until November and there was snow on the ground. :(

Thankfully, today was warm at 10.5C/51F. The remaining snow melted, so I got outdoors this afternoon and dug in the moist ground to plant everything. I hope I have a few more flowers and ferns next year.

I'll wait a little while longer before raking the leaves from the sidewalks. There are still more leaves up in the trees, so there's not much use in trying to clean things up yet for the winter snow season and shoveling snow from the sidewalk.
