I cancelled an appointment

I intended to walk to my local clinic tomorrow morning for an 8am appointment, where I haven't been since 2023 February. I was planning to get the Novavax vaccine for SARS-CoV-2. My last booster was 2 years ago. The typical rna vaccines only include the S1 spike protein, but the old-tech Novavax includes S1 and S2 spike proteins. S2 mutated much less quickly during the last 4 years, so that vaccine should theoretically offer better protection, since any version of the virus I encounter now would have a similar S2 appearance.

The nurse called me back today to say they only had Moderna (rna) vaccines, so I cancelled. I'll have to find another local clinic to get Novavax. I'll try again next week. I want to schedule the jab for my "weekend", so I can deal with any reactions on my days off rather than on-the-clock at my job.

And work was unusually busy this week. Normally Monday is the worst day of the week, with business tapering off each later weekday. This week was the opposite. Monday wasn't horrible, then each later day got worse. I'm ready for my "weekend" now.
