old folk life

After work today (which was frustrating because of how much I still don't know, corroborated by 2 other people who said the same thing about their workload in recent days), I went off for a walk to a nearby park. I put on my "outdoor glasses", which don't have bifocals, just correction for my nearsightedness. My vision was terrible at first, due to always spending time indoors and keeping the shades closed for safety. After 45 minutes looking around long distance, though, my vision was much sharper when I got back home.

In the past, there were young 2 lesbians who lived at a nearby busy corner, and they kept a pride flag on their porch. It was the first I had ever seen in my Jordan neighborhood of north Minneapolis. About 3 years ago, they happened to be in their backyard when I walked by, so I thanked them for putting out that flag. Today, it looks like the house is empty, so I guess they finally moved. No more Pride flag. :(

It feels like my feet are developing arthritis too. It's at the tips of the feet, below where the toes meet the body of the foot. It's not near the heel or in the ankles. I notice it on these longer walks, like coming back from the grocery store or today's walk to the park and back.

Is there such a thing as an old folks' home that's run as a cooperative to help reduce expenses? And is there one in Minnesota? I didn't find anything in a few quick web searches.

Edit 6:30pm: Maybe there are! I need to find out if they mean "cooperative" the same way I mean it. 1, 2, and 3.
