updates from Minneapolis

I am reading your blog posts. I'm not, however, replying to them (or almost never replying). I've been too zoned out recently. Again today, too.

The temperature here in Minneapolis got warmer than was forecast. I got tired of sweating while sitting in a chair, so I put the air conditioner back into the bathroom window again. :( Maybe I'll take it out again next week. Still, though, I was able to take advantage of the warmer weather. I washed the bedsheets and hung them to dry on my front patio yesterday. I made sure to lock the patio door, so nobody could run off with my bedsheets. They dried fast enough that I was able to put them back on the bed in the evening. Normally, hanging sheets indoors in winter, I have to spend a night in less than ideal conditions, either no sheets or very-slightly-damp sheets.

I got absolutely no gardening done again this week. The yard needs work.

I was hoping that today at work we would finally achieve actual zero in-progress tickets needing our attention. It's been almost 2 months since we had a day that slow. We got close today but I never saw it at zero. I had a 2-hour phone call too, a retiree who was having account problems. My brain is just fried after a 2-hour phone call. I was successful, though, which is good justification for the effort.

Unrelated, but I'm getting a 13% raise at work! It's part of a larger effort at the university. That's a noticeable salary increase for me.

I'm also getting more work soon. I'm a very foolish volunteer, maybe? LOL I'll write more later when I can brain again.
