They called it a blizzard on the television, but it wasn't much of anything except windy and cold here in Minneapolis.  What little snow fell early during the storm made the world outside a blur in those high winds.

When I woke up yesterday morning, the temperature was about 7C/44F.  This morning it was  -19C/-2F air temp (-24C/-11F wind chill).  We definitely had snow, and it was blowing around a lot yesterday.  Since we didn't get much of the snow, at least the snow drifts weren't very high.  That made for easier shoveling.

In spite of my bad left shoulder right now (and a slight ear ache in my left ear), I shoveled the sidewalks and moved my car in anticipation of today's snow plow on my side of the street.

Luckily, even though rain fell yesterday morning right before the freezing temperatures arrived, the sidewalks weren't difficult to shovel.  Opening the car door and scraping the windows was more difficult than usual.

I got a lot of snow in Bloomington. Last night before bed I couldn't even see the street outside my house because it had drifted over so thoroughly. I'm currently deciding whether to break out the snow blower or just wait until I have somewhere to go.

Nice! (Maybe?) The forecast for metro kept thinking that "west metro" would get the worst, but maybe it ended up being the south instead.
