mellowtiggerIt was just 8 days ago that I complained about the near-freezing weather. Today, it's well above body temperature. I've mentioned before that the stretch of land between Minneapolis MN and Fargo ND experiences a wider range of temperatures than anywhere else in the continental USA.
At the "KMNMINNE624" weather station on a rooftop in downtown Minneapolis, it currently shows 38.5C/101.3F (archived proof). My little window air conditioner is running non-stop in my bedroom upstairs. Luckily, the foundation is still cool enough that the house isn't unbearable today. This heatwave will bake the last of the coolness out of the ground, though.
We set a new daily high temp record yesterday, and we're certainly going to set one today too.
