the Tushy bidet

There seems to be a lot less smog in the air.  At least, my eyes don't randomly start burning and watering any more.  This morning, though, I coughed up thicker crud than usual out of my lungs.  Maybe that's a good thing, with my body finally expelling the stuff that lodged in there last week.  I'm still relying on antihistamines to keep from blowing and snorting my nose so much.  I've avoided outdoors for nearly 2 weeks already.

I installed a Tushy bidet a few weeks ago.  This model also comes with plenty of instructional material that definitely plays up the humor as a way to disarm people from being uptight about the topic.  I ended up having to replace the toilet seat too, because the old one kept popping from its bolts with the small extra height added by the bidet equipment.  The new seat works great.  It's taken some adjustment to learn the bidet method of using the commode.
  1. Toilet paper is for drying off, not cleaning up.  It uses a whole lot less paper, but you are using more water.  Desert dwellers might prefer the paper method.  Here in Minneapolis, we've got lots of water.  (Usually.  Except during climate change droughts.)
  2. Be generous with your time, waiting on the water to clean up everything.  It took a few tries before I reached the point where toilet paper wiped clean (although wet) to the eye.  Now, the bidet water cleans really well.
  3. If you've got a hairy butt like I do, expect to spend a minute just dripping dry before using a toilet paper to dry off.
  4. I don't know what it'll be like when winter sets in.  The ground (and therefore the water) gets very cold.  It's possible to get a bidet that also attaches to the hot water pipe from the nearby sink for a temperature-adjusted stream, but I didn't get it.  I may regret that decision later.
Yadda, yadda.  Last night, 40 bullets fired nearby.  Blah, blah.

I have books to read, but I find myself without the attention to focus on them.  I keep escaping to computer games instead.  Maybe next week if my allergies permit, I'll finally get outdoors and back to some degree of normalcy.
