Public Health Ontario released a SARS-CoV-2 report last month that includes this gem (emphasis mine):

There is increasing evidence that SARS-CoV-2 infection can cause immune dysregulation. Although all outcomes and the scale of immune dysregulation remain unclear, a potential increase in acquired impaired immunity in the Ontario population could have significant impact on the incidence and associated burden of infectious diseases (e.g., high viral loads, increased antibiotic use and resistance) and other conditions in the longer-term.

That's C-AIDS.  They're describing "Covid-Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome" (C-AIDS) without calling it that.  They're warning about future disease surges due to immune impairment in their citizen population.  We're 2.5 years into this pandemic, but this party is just getting started.  I've done all that I know how to do to prevent the disaster headed our way.  I never wanted to see this happen a 2nd time in my life.  I'm so sorry.

Yes, that thought has crossed my mind more than once. Unfortunately, this is very bad news even for people with "plain ol' AIDS". Although antivirals are not yet on the menu, once we reach the point that half of humanity asks for them, it won't matter how you developed the need. The drugs will still be in very short supply. We now know that we're incapable of keeping even baby food in stock. Supply will be low, and capitalism will demand its predatory price increase to match.
