Moody Monday: the memory that keeps on giving

Remember earlier this year (it seems like so much longer ago) when Minneapolis police killed Amir Locke in a no-knock warrant, even though Mayor Jacob Frey has claimed several times that our police stopped doing that sort of thing?  Well, apparently that particular killer graced us with his presence at the Near North homeless eviction 2 weeks ago.

If the voice yelling through the LRAD at the brutal Near North eviction seemed familiar, that’s because it was none other than Mark Hanneman, the pig who killed Amir Locke. Fuck that guy in particular. ACAB

I don't know, was this the same guy with body armor and rifle who seemed to be the lead and kept barking orders at us?  I still think of that guy as "Officer Roid Rage".  No de-escalation effort.  Full-on escalation dare.  He was afraid for his life (that YouTube video captures the sentiment perfectly), doncha know, because he must be in order to kill with impunity, regardless of the actual situation.

Remember when those off-duty Swedish police broke up a fight on the New York City subway train, with no SWAT gear, just using their de-escalation training?  Minneapolis police aren't like that.  They bring a small army to break up a homeless encampment 1 week before snow arrives.  I talk to some lawyers tomorrow about my arrest.

The fully-armed army is happening here in NM, too. It's infuriating. No one realizes it takes just one tiny thing for them to become homeless, so zero compassion from their lofty privilege.
