Mmmmhh, I have always toyed withthe idea and I even considered it as an option for me back in the late 60's when i learned about a "Communa" near the city where I grew up. It still exists nowdays. The concept of Eco-friendly places didn't exist back then, I don't know if these people has incorporated those ideas nowdays. However, I happen to be too individualistic for a place like that I think, I don't know. I am about to take a flight to the mainland to a symposium on Eco-Tourism. Curiously enough it is in that same city where my parents live so, I will be staying with them for a few days and i might be abl to find out what has happened with the life in that Community you brought to mind with your posting MT.
