Here I am reporting about Join The Impact! (Minneapolis, Minnesota). The weather today was freezing, with sub-freezing wind chill. Weather.com says it's currently 31F/-1C here. The pager from work went off only once while I was out at the event. Luckily it was something that I could handle just by text-messaging a reply.  I think I would've enjoyed it more if I was actually attached to someone and wanting to marry, but it was still encouraging to know that a lot of people saw it as a civil rights issue.

Let me know if you want someone else added. I'll be glad to include more links.  Here are my photos to contribute.  Notice the pile of snow in the "before" photo... and huladavid bringing in signs.  I estimate about 1500 people were at the event across the whole 2 hours of it.





I like the last one: "Colors".  I was first drawn to look at the bright orange mohawk (I like it), but then I also noticed the United States flag and the rainbow flag.  Good collection there.  :)

There was also a "No More Mr. Nice Gay" poster. Yeah, it's a very niche issue for a lot of people, but it is good to see so many people involved for at least a little while. :)

This week(end) is bad for me. Maybe ask again in 2 weeks though when the 3 crises at work are finally over. :) I'm currently taking a break tonight from doing more work on a new website that my workplace is putting out next week. I suspect workload will eat into this weekend too. *sigh*

I am usually out at the Bear Coffee though on Wednesday night. I hope I'll be there this week too if the pager doesn't interfere and call me away. *more sighs* (The faeries meet at the same time just a few blocks away too.) For what's normally supposed to be a part-time job, this gig demands a lot more time and attention than I ever expected.
