I've had more than 20 twitches today (right calf, left ankle, both forearms, back), and I haven't even gotten out of the house to go to work yet.

The visit with the new neurologist on Monday was very unsatisfying. It seems that he's going to be another "come back when you're falling down" sort of guy.  He didn't like the list of symptoms that I wrote on the incoming form. He asked me, "Why do you care?" and wanted me to focus on a single symptom that I was most concerned about. I said the neuropathy since it was the one I first noticed 6 years ago or more.

After focusing his exam on the neuropathy, he was unimpressed. I did an unusually good job this time of knowing if he was touching me with his finger or a pin. He's going to repeat one small portion of the torture session (electromyography). They're not going to stab me this time, but they will electrocute me. I think that's the test that showed the slow nerve conduction speed last time? He seemed disdainful that I would care about the limited loss of sensation, conveniently ignoring the other symptoms I had listed. *bleh*

Various people have suggested other ideas to consider: huntington's, circulation, posture (as a lifelong computer geek).  All worthy ideas.  If I knew what I could do that would make it worse, I'd do that before the torture session in late October.  Ya know, give them something to notice and examine. *shrug*

It still seems like my 2 original ideas (B12 deficiency or multiple sclerosis) best explain what's going on, but tests have ruled out those possibilities for now.
