local: Saturday breakfast movie

My former database administrator told me about this event on Saturday morning.

It will be a kid-friendly event, so I expect families of all ages to be there.  Starting at 8am (movie at 9:30am) will be early for my routine.  Knowing IMAX ticket costs, it'll probably be pricey too.  I could use some out-of-the-house fun, though.  I plan to attend.

Will I end up with streaks of "wild wizard hair coloring" in my hair?  *ponder*

This first half of "Deathly Hallows" will not be shown in 3D, unfortunately.  :(  It will still be done in IMAX format though, though, so the special effects in this one should be beautiful to see.

I'm so glad its not in 3D, I hate 3D movies with a passion.

3D (done well) makes the ticket cost a lot less annoying for me. :) The glasses they make you wear these days are much less distracting than the old ones used to be. They're a much easier fit and lighter weight.

This movie was supposed to be done in 3D. In a rare quality-over-profit move from Hollywood, however, they interrupted the 3D production because they couldn't get it done well in the time permitted. The second half will be shown in 3D versions.
