One benefit to blogging regularly is the data accumulation.  For instance, I realized this morning (after searching my blog entries) that I've had recurring allergy problems in mid-August (see 2009, 2010, 2011).  I wonder what grows locally during this season that triggers my reaction? Apparently the haywire weather we've experienced in 2012 has brought on the annual bloom of pollen a full month sooner than usual.

I got about 3 hours of sleep last night because of my sinus troubles.  I've already had the HEPA air filter going in my room for the last month, and it seemed to help at the beginning.  I've also been trying generic Claritin for the last month.  I think it doesn't really work unless you take it every single day, which I haven't.  I finally went to the store and bought some generic Benadryl, even though it makes me loopy.

Whatever it takes, I just need to keep my sinuses from staying clogged up.  If they stay clogged, then I'm sure to get a sinus infection.  I have a very long history of allergy induced sinus infections.  *bleah*

I disapprove of histamine reactions.  Sure, I know that animals require histamines in order to cause swelling of tissue that helps to close a wound and encourage blood flow.  Why, though, must our sinuses be so susceptible?  I'd much prefer the canine reaction of itchy paws.
