I got my followup vaccination with Shingrix, and I think my reaction to this one is even worse than my first one.  I got the injection early on Friday, and most of Friday was fine.  Around 8pm, though, is when it finally started to kick in.

At first, my temperature showed only 37.7C/99.9F, but I was already shivering those whole-body shakes like a much higher temperature.  When I later went to bed, I carried my usual glass of water upstairs, and I sloshed water all over the stairs, the bed, and the case next to the bed where I finally landed the glass safely.

On Saturday, my temperature kept climbing.  First 38.3C/100.9F, then 38.5C/101.4F, then 38.6C/101.6F.  My joints ached all over.  Again, like a very bad case of the flu.  Finally, I broke down and started taking pills to lower my temperature.

I'm feeling better at the moment, but hopefully tomorrow I won't require medication to get through the day.  I think this reaction period lasted only 2 days on the first vaccine, so I'm expecting Sunday to finally be a good day again.

edit Sunday 4:36pm:  I haven't taken any pills today, and my temp has climbed slowly back up to 37.6C/99.8F.  Another wasted day spent hiding on the couch under a warm blanket.

edit Tuesday 6:08pm:  Monday offered a headache that pills wouldn't eliminate, but Tuesday has been good.  No headache, no aches, and a temperature this evening of only 37.2C/99.1F.
