Remember that post about racial covenants?  Apparently there are some people here who think racial segregation is still a potentially desirable system.  One of the realtors who was part of the project to remove racial covenants from local deeds has asked to be removed from that effort.

I went to the Quaker plant sale yesterday.  It was very different this year.  It was fully outdoors (not part of a stadium) at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds.  I had to register beforehand and state how many people would be in my party, so they could schedule a maximum number of people for different entry times that would keep the place from being crowded.  It was a very different vibe from usual.  And the plants were not as plentiful or as sturdy as previous years.  It's still a fun experience, though.  It's all spur-of-the-moment impulse buying, so it's a fun indulgence to allow myself.  Even if every plant died after getting it home and planted, the money that I spent remains a useful donation to their schoolkids.

I heard about 50 gunshots last night in one incident, with multiple bursts strung together in one long gunfight.  I guessed it was about 4 blocks away and southward.  The closest report I can find from that time and place is this one from Citizen, which gives no hint of it being a large fight between gangs.  The incident is, however, being discussed extensively on a Facebook group that I rarely visit (due to its racist and ammosexual inclinations).  Apparently somebody died, if they're the same incident, which I can't confirm yet.
