warm weather, finally

Up through this morning, the weather here in Minneapolis was still barely above freezing at night.  The only thing keeping us free of frost on some nights was the urban heat island effect.  But the forecasts are all looking good from today onward.  It's time finally to plant my sprouts that are starting to wither.

I saw this this post featuring an iris called "Many Mahalos".  Very pretty.  I splurged and bought a few for myself to add to my yard.

Meanwhile, climate change is still shaping the local environment.  The weather trends were recalculated, and Minnesota continues to get warmer and wetter.  Our snowiest month changed from January to December.  Plus, we have thunder blizzards now.
