The pace has slowed for my dropping stress level. Progress is progress, but my stomach hasn't stopped fretting during non-work hours, and that needs to happen for me to be certain this job is sustainable. I expect it will happen... eventually. I'll start my final schedule next week on Sunday, tomorrow, for week #5. I'll still have help for most(?) of it, with a mix of me shadowing other people or them shadowing me, but it's an early start to the "real" work.
I know it's a fast pace in my case. I heard other people mention 8-week training. I was told 6-week training. I hear that a newcomer they're expecting may get a 10-week training. So my 4 weeks is fast. I wish my gut and mind were as pleased with the progress. I'm still relying on my intellect to override my instincts to determine my behavior.
But... I am reading here on Dreamwidth again. I've even posted a few times on other blogs. I'm still not keeping up on Mastodon. And my yard still needs work. And I simply have to do laundry today after buying groceries. And clean the litterbox.

Date: 2023-Jun-13, Tuesday 09:15 pm (UTC)It's official. Tomorrow, I go "on my own" for the first time. I am reminding myself, "At worst, just take their callback number, and say that you'll research the issue and get back to them." :) Just, please, no VIPs with major outage problems requiring immediate escalation/handoff while live on the call.
