The summary:

• Bodies found preserved in a mine in Peru several years ago.
• These humanoid bodies are about 1000 years old.
• They have 3 fingers and 3 toes, with enlarged and extended skulls. Bone structure is light, like a bird.
• They have eggs in their abdomen, like bird eggs.
• They have fingerprints that are linear instead of whorled.
• They have large metal implants, and cadmium and osmium have been identified.
• Their dna is more different from humans than bacteria are different from humans, suggesting they are not of Earth origin.

I wish I could just take the day off from work to dive into every detail. There are reputable institutions involved, but is this presenter reputable? Maybe not, but this would be a complex lie to achieve.

I'm updating the news link to an even handed scepticism article instead of the vague Newsweek one. I'm hoping that the university (largest in Latin America) that did the dna analysis will make a statement today.

Almost all vertebrate animals share a lot of DNA, but this just seems fake all around. Hardly any vertebrates have 3 fingers or toes, and space aliens wouldn't be likely to share any DNA with us. Extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence to be convincing, but fakery can be explained by any combination of greed, malice, egotism, and stupidity.

I agree. Like in the USA Congress previously, though, this Mexico Congress case involves sworn testimony. Telling lies in this context has consequences unlike stories published on fringe websites. Again, I really want to hear from Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM), the largest university in Latin America, that they corroborate the statements made at Congress. Given that panspermia seems to be a real possibility, I'm willing to imagine that some base pairs could be commonly used throughout the universe. In this case, though, were there other base pairs found in the dna? I really want to see a statement from UNAM on what they found.

As in the USA Congress testimony, there are seemingly trustworthy figures adding their voice to the discussion.

As before, if this is all lies, it's got the be the longest and most complex hoax in human history.

Apparently UNAM did NOT perform the dna analysis, instead they performed the carbon-14 dating. They re-released a statement (Spanish original, English from Google translate) from 2017. They note they will test any sample, but they don't come in contact with the source object, so they cannot speak to the nature of the original source. Carbon-14 dating, as noted in this article from Australia, would not be accurate if the source biology is from another planet, since carbon-14 dating relies on a natural cycle specific to Earth's atmosphere. Their sample dating would be accurate only if the material originated on Earth and was untampered.

Near as I can tell at the moment, the dna analysis was performed by Canada's Lakehead University at their Paleo-DNA Lab in 2018. The only notice I see on their news page is this article from 2017 this says the results of that time were 100% human dna. Because of the year, that article is not referring to the same samples mentioned to the Mexico Congress.

I would have perceived a title like "Director of the Scientific Institute for Health of the Mexican navy" as quite expert and trustworthy until about six years ago. Since we've seen Trump's appointees, and Ladapo the surgeon general of Florida, it's less persuasive.

This would be an amazing discovery. But going from 'round shapes on the X-ray' to 'it must be eggs!' is a big leap.

And that's a clear sign of problems with the presentation. If Maussan lied under oath before the Mexico Congress, then I hope he suffers their penalty of perjury, whatever that is.

If the presentations before Congress (both USA and Mexico) turn out to be lies, or perhaps self-convinced delusions, then I think I will have to revise my estimation of human civilization. Civilization might be a very thin veneer and easily disrupted because most of us are mentally unsound.

Sadly, it does appear possible that this known liar has constructed a rather elaborate lie. Even if the claim is false, though, then I really want to know how such falsehoods could be constructed. Maussan clearly needs to provide other science teams access to these bodies for them to examine and corroborate (or not) the facts of the case.
