work, at semester start

We're in the official black out date, with no vacations approved, until the semester start week is over next week. Classes officially begin on Monday, but students and teachers are already gearing up. The extra work is very noticeable. At least it won't be as bad this year as last year.

Last year, my team handled about 900 tickets in one day, on Monday, about 3-4X more than a usual Monday. It won't be that bad this year, because they're not making major changes to all accounts this year in the middle of the busiest time of year.

I've already signed up for overtime (to avoid being volun-told that I have a shift), but they opened new shifts for overtime today in addition. Working that many hectic hours in a row is not my idea of a fun time.
