I've wondered before about the origins of the peace symbol. That symbols turns 50 years old, and BBC has a good history explaining its source.

Hmmm... I was told long ago that the symbol is a pagan tree of life symbol turned upside down. That explanation was given to me by my mother after a friend told me peace signs were "satanic". This is ineresting.
