Dominic has a new home

After meeting in a dog park two weekends ago, Dominic went on a test visit to a new home this past weekend. He did really well. I knew he would; he's adorable. He is now staying there with other older dogs and acreage to run.
When I first got him, Dominic was a very submissive and shy (nearly fearful) personality. He'd roll over onto his belly at almost everything that happened around him. After a few months, he finally started emerging from his reticence, and he started going nose first into everything. Most people who met him commented on how beautiful and friendly he was. "... and he has different colored eyes!"

Something happened about a month ago, though, and he started being very fearful of noises and being alone, especially in the back yard. For nearly a week, he refused to go into the back yard alone. He needed to be somewhere quieter than the #WarzoneInMinneapolis where I live. Also, the cat has lost a lot of weight during the last year, and she still was not happy with the dog being in the house.
Luckily, Dominic is now out frolicking with other dogs in open spaces.

A coworker sent me a note today with those photos:
Happy tails. Or, for Dominic's favorite song...
The lyrics aren't much to admire, but the tune is really catchy. I think Dominic was entranced by the combination of whistling, finger snapping, clean rhythm, and the visuals of seeing the same 4 people in the same position with a switching background.

"Sincerest thank you from [us]! Dominic is such a beautiful little man- so well behaved, playful and happy! Cedar and Pepper are happy to have a new buddy to share the yard with! Here are a few photos. Happy tails!"
