2008-May-31, Saturday 07:36 amWell, I got far enough on my new pc system to post here. Milestone. Yay!
Windows Vista 64-bit Home Basic
Intel Core 2 Quad cpu Q9300 @ 2.5 GHz
4GB memory
NVidia 8800GTS video card
There are several troublesome issues though. Like the new Terabyte hard drive that I don't have working yet. Or the fact that I'm pretty sure I intended to order an 8800GTX video card. (oops *sigh*)
Still, it's good to get this far.
I'll work on that hard drive issue first, then I'll worry about installing all the appropriate Windows drivers and other software. There's my whole weekend accounted for. :)

Well, I downloaded the hotfix and used the password but apparently the files are still corrupt. "An error occured while unzipping. One or more files were not successfully unzipped. The error code is 40." I see other people have had similar Vista hotfix problems. Nobody has yet posted a fix to the hotfix error though.
*more sighs*

So I got the files out of the zip finally.
"Searching for updates..."
"The update does not apply to your system"
(I hate Microsoft.)
Yes, the files I have in my directories are older than the ones the hotfix is supposed to install. I want the newer files, you stupid program.
