Mixed messages again. Mixed emotions again.

I formally had a crack house next door to me on the north side a few years ago. The proof was the crack pipe I found in my front yard. They moved away after the gunfight in front of the house.
Now I officially have a crack house next door to me again, this time on the south side. I found a crack spoon thrown out of their side window into my back yard, complete with scorch marks on the bottom, confirming last year's accusation.

And I was woken early at 7am today by sirens for the fire at another trouble house behind the crack house.

In completely unrelated news...

	Native strawberries are yummy. I've only been growing them in my backyard. They're barely as tall as the grass, the fruit is comparatively tiny, but the flavor is really amazing. It's almost like a SweeTart candy. It starts with an intense spike of sweet flavor, followed by a delicious tart aftertaste.  I wish they were bigger, so it would be easier to enjoy more of them.
	The one juneberry bush that is fruiting this year is almost ready to taste.
	The wild mullein that arrived on the wind (not intentionally planted) are flowering nicely this year. I've even seen a few bees on them. I'll collect seeds this year and put them someplace intentional next year.  Locals seem to call them "lamb's ear", but that's a smaller version with purple flowers.  This mullein is a giant look-alike of lamb's ear.

I like edible landscaping.  I like #LawnsToLegumes.  I'll gladly accept a little fruit and flowers when I find them.

My mom has the mullein as well. Also an invader she kept because the flower is pretty. It's called King's candle in German.

Agreed. It is very nice to look at. :) Almost "stately", which makes the "King's candle" name very appropriate too.
