a visit with an ex

mellowtiggerStrange night. It started just before midnight, with noises outside that I couldn't tell if they were gunfire or just fireworks. It ended after 6am with the cat deciding to walk across my belly.
Somewhere in between, I had a dream that featured my last ex-boyfriend. I haven't communicated with him in 24 years. The dream was set at another large facility/hotel with lots of people. He was teasing me, and I couldn't tell if he was trying to rekindle romance. I was trying to avoid entanglements. The dream was otherwise disjointed with no real thread of a plot. I don't even know more about the setting.
A poor quality dream, with so few details available. But I still remember it nearly an hour after waking, so into the journal it goes. This is a record-setting year for dreams.
