a little good news from Minneapolis
2022-Jul-20, Wednesday 02:28 pm1) Bees are finally showing up in quantity. It seems a little late for it, but at least they're still around! They're especially enjoying the bergamot and crown vetch.
2) Cougar! They're rare, but someone captured a photo of a cougar in the southwest metro area. The biosphere here is better (more diverse therefore healthier) than in many parts of the USA.
We haven't had a useful amount of rain here in Minneapolis for several weeks. Lawns are turning brown. Even native wildflowers are beginning to wilt. I keep watering some of my transplants, but I'm losing some of them. Today, I spent a little more time also watering the clover that was suffering too.
I've given a poor effort to jobhunting so far this week, but at least I'm getting a few other things done. I leveled out the other side of the backyard garden path. I threw out some more dutch clover seed to help fill out the walkway in the bare spots.

I harvested jostaberries and froze them. I should get another handful next week. I bought some greek yogurt at the store recently, so I'm ready for a cold snack in front of the tv this evening when the heat makes me sweat just sitting in the chair. I've got both garden raspberries and jostaberries frozen and ready for eating in a bowl of yogurt.

I'm looking forward to rain. And a 100% remote job doing some powershell scripting, since today's post is all about rainbows and unicorns.
